I use these pants as part of my uniform at work. I work as a ferry captain and need comfortable, durable work pants to get me through the seasons. These pants are comfortable, have plenty of pockets for all the things that I carry (cellphone, knife, leatherman, flashlight). My only gripe is that the legs are a tad too long when I wear sneakers or shoes, not an issue if I'm in work boots. These are pants that need to look good and last for day to day work, but I'm also not concerned about them ripping when I need to go climbing in bilges.

I work in these pants on a daily basis - the name of this product rings true. The cell pocket is perfect, the stitching keeps the pants from tearing while crouching and stretching, and the weight of the fabric is ideal for working body temperature in cooler weather.
I prefer the pocket configuration on the front of the DTPro shorts, but prefer the weight and look of these pants to the DTPro. If these pants had the extra pockets in the front to separate items within the pocket, and keep them from falling out, I would call them a perfect 5 stars.

Ordered these once last year and once this year. Both time the pants not even close to being sized accurately. The are tight in the thigh, waist is two sizes smaller than listed and the length is not even close. On the plus side they were easy to return with no problems.

I have Never been accused of being a Fashionista kind of guy, and in fact a number of lady-friends Have accused me of being color-blind. Now I own these pants in Black, Stone, Steel-Blue and the terrific but shot-lived Loam. (please bring back the Loam!!). They all go perfect with any and all my Duluth long-tails and know I look sharp all the time and with zero effort.
They are perfect for a day at the pistol/rifle range. Roomy and comfortable in the sitting, kneeling and prone; big pockets to stash extra/empty magazines, and I am still well-dressed enough to go in my favorite Texas Roadhouse restaurant for a big steak and a big beer straight from the range.
I spend all day framing the inside of my friend's future restaurant and after slapping off the sawdust I can go straight to my lady's and go grab dinner and a movie.! Fantastic pants.
I am finding them perfect for camping and hiking in this cooler Fall weather. They stand up great to all the scraping brush on the trail keeping my legs well protected from scrapes and cuts. Setting-up tents, gathering wood,clearing a spot, fishing, cooking, and doing the dishes, all in perfect comfort.
The Utility-Straps hold my camp Hawk safe and secure and instantly available. Huge leg pocket is perfect for my flashlight. These pants are truly my "Everything" Pants. Thanks for making this great product. Soon I'll get me a pair in 'Military Brown' and I'll have my wardrobe all rounded-out.

The legs are not tapered or straight legged. They seem to flare out giving a strange appearance and more material there than I would like. They wrinkle easily and come out of the wash wrinkled. They are however comfortable and well made. The waist was a tad tight.

Most of my shop clothes come from Duluth now. Very comfortable and pretty durable (I finally figured out you get what you pay for) Had these pants a couple weeks now. Nicely made - seem like they'll wear well. Legs shrank about 1/2" after washing (cold water, line drying), so I'd add an inch to length next time (yeah, there will be a next time - my softest blue jeans don't feel this comfortable) Waist still fits fine (Thanksgiving is still a ways off)

I wish that I could give these pants 4.5 stars, but they don't offer that, so I had to drop it to 4 instead of 5. Excellent stitching, Excellent fit, awesome pockets and tool loops. Couldn't be better at all. I'm feeling like a hypocrite, because I love the lightweight feel of the pants, but I've snagged them and torn fairly easily. Hence, not a 5 star review. With that said, I won't buy another fit/style of work pants ever again. If they offered them in firehose material I would certainly buy those. So far the denim work pants are my new 5 star favorites and worth the extra 5 bucks.

Tan pants are the order of the day for Track and Field Officials. I don't care for the fit of most of the pants I have used in the past (too baggy on me). These have a great fit for me. The extra pockets are a real plus for all the "stuff" we need to have at the ready while officiating. I will say that right out of the dryer they are not as "sharp" as I would like so I take them to our cleaners and have them pressed. They really look very professional! Thanks for a great product!

These pants and most of the Duluth Product line can handle the business side of your career and the working side. I wore these pants on vacation, moving friends and addressing my Senator in Washington. Awesome clothing line, for active people.

I was tired of wearing blue work pants and Duluth was out of the brown I wanted. However, after reading the comments by another purchaser that the steel blue was realy steel grey I bought them. They were a nice change in color for me and even after washing them three times they still fit great. I am about to buy another pair. I think I'll try the green one they got by mistake.

I own three pairs of these trousers & they're my new favorites, beating out a life long love affair with Levis. The style, comfort (thanks FOM crotch!) and fit are fantastic. The only minor complaint I have is the khaki colored trousers are a half size smaller than the other colors. As there are no 38.5, I'm now wearing a 40, which is a tad loose.

The "freedom of movement"(F.O.M)is a must for all guys who work construction. No more pinching climbing ladders or squatting.

I bought a pair of these in the winter and they were great for the day when it was too hot for snow pants. But summer rolled around and i needed a pair of shorts these became the victim. I wear them practically every day and i have worn them so much the gray is turning to a sun bleached tan-ish color. they are so comfortable i plan to buy another pair to live out the winter in. Oh and one more thing please make these in a shorts version. I love them as shorts.

Nothing compares to the versatility, style and comfort of these pants. They easily work well in the American "business casual" environment. I'm a corporate IT professional, and love the fact I can wear these every day at work and still have "work pant" durability and functionality when I'm working in the server room. The pockets are great for wire cutters, RJ-45 crimpers, screwdrivers, and whatever else I need to have with me when working on workstations, servers, racks, network equipment, etc. Then, I can dust myself off and head down the hall for that 2pm meeting with the division directors knowing my attire won't undermine my credibility - hey, how you look is still important in the corporate world. Do yourself a favor and get these pants!!

I use the pants for work as a heavy equipment operator for a real estate development company. The pants are light and although they do not have the comfort of shorts are still very comfortable in warm weather. The stitching seems to be very stout and they have plenty of pockets with one glaring omission- there's no "watch pocket" with the right front pocket. This pocket is a great place to carry a pocket knife. The pants fit very nicely out of the box and the gusseted crotch is truly a godsend. However, after the first wash in accordance with the labled directions the inseam went from a 34" to a 32". The waist became a little tighter but not bad at all. So, if you typically take a 32" inseam, order a 34" length. The pants look good enough to wear as casual pants when out on the town. Overall, I would recommend these to anybody in the market for a pair of summer weight work pants.

I have used Duluth Trading pants in Iraq from to 2003 until now and don't plan on switching. These pants are tougher than 511 pants and are better designed for long hours of dirty work. I have never had a pair critically fail me despite the fabric being bulky it tends to breath in 130 degrees heat. The pants are built roomy so the pockets can fit extra equipment and the pants not lose shape. I go to some of the worst places in theater and often have to convoy. These pants are tough as they come. If you want to send me a free pair I'll send you a picture of me on a Hesco barrier with a large grin on my face.

If you're looking for simple, durable work pants, these are for you. Whether I'm sitting on rough rocks or scrambling over fences, my Everyday Work Pants take everything I throw at them and come out the dryer looking brand new.
My only complaint is very minor; the "steel blue" color is much more what we used to call "steel gray" in the Navy. There's not really much blue to it.
They're not too fancy, but the money you spend on these will go a long ways further than if you bought a pair of Brand Name work pants from a big box store.
Delivery was very prompt; it actually showed up a day earlier than UPS originally estimated.

These tremendously comfortable and versatile slacks are perfect for "Business Casual" wear. The gusseted crotch makes for easy all day sitting at a desk and the stain resistant treatment really works to repel routine daily grime (or a drip of coffee) so they stay clean looking longer, plus it helps hold a nice, sharp crease. I always carry a lot of tools and these have the capacity and durability. I'm not afraid of something falling out when I'm on my motorcycle.
They aren't as durable as others, but that is a tradeoff since they are lightweight so are better in the heat.
I don't know of what substance they make the tag sewn into the inside right rear pocket area, but they should sell it as an abrasive in the tool section. I thought one of my tools had opened. They could do it as a belt-loop. Also the front button is a little higher than needed for the thin cloth.

I do hands on research in gardening farming and outdoor living. They have plenty of pockets (I keep forgetting where I put my cell phone). Up a ladder or a tree, down on the ground or in a hole, they are the most comfortable work pants I have ever had. Most thorns and prickles slide over them instead of catching when I'm in the field. They shed stains and look good in meetings with clients.

Light weight but solidly contructed pants. Very well done heavy front pocket liner material, excellent fit and construction. The light weight cloth breaths well, feels good and seems to shed stains and wrinkles. They wash easily too. Rear pockets are large, side pockets deep enough for tools. The cuffs are double sewn with a wear strip which is a nice touch.
Overall an excellent pair of pants for a bargain price.

I wear these pants at the fire station when I volunteer and at the office when I work. The khaki pants fit right in at the office and the side pockets are perfect for cell phones and tools. The cotton fabric is light enough to breathe and tough enough wear well. At this price, why would you buy blue jeans?

The material that these pants are made of is great. It is flexible, somewhat stretchable, fairly cool, even in hot weather. They are so far, very durable. However, the color is fading which I don't like. Mine were a nice navy blue. I suspect it may be because of the detergent I am using. I don't use them for any real macho work. I don't have that kind of job, but I wear them anyway. I'll be buying some more soon. I going to get all of the colors.

These pants are light weight yet tought enough for a full days abuse. They also shed stains. I work as a Land Surveyor and these pants not only look professional they are professional. Here in New Mexico the weather is varied. Hot one day and rain the next, so it is important to have a pair of pants that can function in a varity of climates. These pants fill all my requirements.

Mostly used as casual wear. Almost too nice to work in. Great pockets for my cell phone, but could use closure for those side pockets(flap or snap). It would be nice if they came in waist sizes of 1" increments, as I always seem to fall in between the standard 2" jumps in size.

Great fitting pants with sensible useable pockets. Plenty of room for stretching and crouching. My only complaint is that although marketed as "work pants" there is not a functional hammer loop. The "tool loop" included is too small for any standard hammers I would use. Another inch of fabric would have made all the difference.

General wear and knockabout pants. Most often worn for yard work and shortening my "honey-do" list. Pants brush off water and stains and hold their shape well. Very comfortable and pockets are perfect - useful but not bulgy. Only complaint at is that I ordered a second pair with the same waist and inseam as the first but the second was notably tighter in the waist and hips. Still have the first pair and there is a definite difference in size, just not enough to deter me from wearing the second pair. Otherwise, great piece of gear.
Quick, painless. I got the second pair by exchanging another pair of pants that didn't fit so well. I had the others for well over six months and Duluth gave me no grief about it at all. Moreover, the replacement pants were a $1.50 more and Duluth just sent me a bill for the difference. In total contrast, I did a similar exchange with another mail order firm with the same exchange policy. The same issue came up, the replacement item cost about a dollar more. Instead of mailing me the stuff and billing for the difference, they just held up my order. I had to call a couple of times to find out what the hang-up was. Lesson learned - stick with Duluth.

I am a white collar professional who likes blue collar clothes and these pants fit the bill. I cannot wear denim to work but love having the extra pockets of carpenter jeans so these work great. I also wear out all my jeans in the crotch so the fancy gusset is a plus. The stitching is great and they are very comfortable. My only recommendation is to provide more colors.
