I use the long sleeve long tail for work in as a shipwright in all sorts of weather, rain, snow or shine. I layer them (2 or 3) depending on the temperature & use the pockets for all sorts of things.
Could use some nylon so the cuffs won't fray as quickly.

I bought the product because I spend a lot of time in my workshop at home--in the fall and winter my workshop is cold and I wanted a warm shirt that was not a sweatshirt. I am very pleased with the long sleeve heavy t-shirt. I wear it often and it washes up well. I appreciate the heavier fabric, too. A sweatshirt is often too much; the t-shirt works well.

I work at a wholesale nursery and am pretty active-this shirt works with me . The long sleeves protect my arms from sun exposure and scrapes from trees, shrubs, etc. The fit is loose enough for bending and twisting without being baggy or binding.Plus, my wife likes the way they look!

Love the combination of pocket, long sleeves, and extra body length.
I have noticed that the sleeves (cuff) tend to stretch out although when washed/dried, they usually come back to normal. Maybe its my fault for pushing up my sleeves when I wash my hands. Other that that, a nice shirt for the money.

At 6' I am not an overly tall man but most long sleeve Ts do not have the body length and sleeve length that I need. The Duluth Trading long tail long sleeve T is exceptional. Even after washing I can tuck it in and not have it pull out and the sleeves go down to my wrists and not mid forearm and most others do. They are also exceptionally comfortable. After buying one for trial I ordered 4 more. Living and working out of doors at over 5000' I also appreciate the coverage I get from the sun and I can still be comfortable! This is a great T.

Purchased on because I loved the short sleeve version. I bought the short sleeve ones in blaze orange (that will tell you how long ago) on clearance. Those three short sleeve shirts are still going strong. My wife loves that the long tail keeps the 'moon' from shining. Got the long sleeves because I need a pocket to keep my pens and pencils in, and the A/C in the computer room can be bone chilling. It will also make a great base layer under sweaters and fleece jackets.

My son Michael (Mikey) is 6'10" tall and always has trouble finding casual clothes that fit. He's not fat (275 lbs), just really tall and well proportioned. Large size stores only carry office type clothes, leaving Mikey with a choice of dress shirts or t-shirts above the waist. This shirt fits Mikey better than anything we have ever seen. As long as he uses cold water for washing, the sleeves are just long enough on the XXLT. Still, he wouldn't mind if the sleeves and body got another 2" in length.

Because I am big and tall I historically had to get a 3X to get the correct length.With these I can get the 2X so the fit is better and I still get the length. The products are also heavier duty and the colors hold up well.

I am tall with average length legs so my trunk (where your shirt fits ya) is where I have difficulty getting things to fit. I absolutely hate wearing a shirt that I want tucked into my trousers and have to contiuously tuck it in because the shirt is too short. These long tail tees really fit the bill... they have long tails. I haven't had any bare lower back problems, even when having to stoop over frequently while working.

The only thing I have is the darker colors fade a little. I have been buying them since 2002. I like the old sizing chart, but now that I have used the new one everything fits perfect again.

I'm a taller guy who has always had problems finding tees that are not going to show too much midriff or that won't shrink 5 sizes when washed. These shirts really are the size they claim to be and don't shrink to fit a third grader the first time they are washed.
Working as a full time ceramic artist I spend each day covered in clay so my Tees get washed a lot. These hold up to the washing machine, detergent and hard use without pilling and hold their color wash after wash.

A few years back I bought a few XL long tail T's. They are now all worn out after multiple seasons. I decided to stock up again and opted for a large instead of an XL. I used to be an avid adventurer but I got old, fat, and grumpy - I do not recommend cotton for high altitude hiking (cotton does not wick which means that at high altitudes, after sweating your way up, the sweat could freeze) but for everything else, this is the tee for me. I am slowly replacing all my tees with variations on this style. The tee is obviously well constructed of heavy-weight cotton. The sizes are pretty exact - as someone who normally buys XL, I found that a Large fit better. Customer service can not be beat.
And who can put a value on never having to worry about 'cleavage'.

Over the past 5 years, I have bought so many of these. I don't have 1 of every color, but almost, and certainly several in the colors I really like.
Just the perfect tee, that extra 3 inches making all the difference. Very sturdy, with a quality feel. The pocket is sturdy enough to hold my glasses case securely, appreciated given that now I can't go anywhere without my reading glasses. Loose enough so that my "expanding waistline" does not feel constrained, but not bulky.

This is a well made shirt. Heavier weight cotton, not thin and flimsy. This will wear forever. No shrinkage or fading. We've all done it, bought a cheapo T-shirt somewhere else and the first time you wash/dry it, the side seams twist out of shape. ONLY Duluth for this type of shirt from now on. My only suggestion: I am 6'2" and although these are "longtails" and fit great on length, the sleeves are a little short, so I will buy Talls next time.

During the colder to cooler months these are a mainstay of my daily attire. They are perfect as a layered component or by themselves. I love the heft of the material. If I could change 2 minor things I would make the sleeves a tad bit longer and then I might not have to keep pulling them down after bending my arm or when wearing something over them and the other is my own issue of wondering about the area on the back of my neck that makes the collar roll! Don't hesitate when you catch them on sale!

These are great T-Shirts. I sue my for working around the house/yard and for just lounging about. the tail is long enough that the shirt never pulls out of your pants. After repeated washings the shirt doesn't shrink up.

These shirts are pretty darn tough. I work for a garage door outfit and have used them in some of the harshest elements of Wyoming. They are even heavy enough to wear in -30 degree weather while still working up a sweat! The shirts are very durable, and never pull out of the pants. I will definitely order them again in the future!

I remodel and maintain buildings where there is alot spectators watching, and the "long tail T" has come in handy. I've tried the rest, now I think I've found the best. Other than the good quality and performance of this shirt, is that the pocket has not started to separate from the body of the shirt. Summer is closing in, and I'm going to get my order in for the short sleeve version.

Longtail shirts have been the professional standard since discovered. Working moving lights, pyro, and follow spots etc. for Cirque de Soleil overseas has proven them unbeatable here, there, and anywhere. Love the new colors as well as my work requisite black. Worn for nearly every occasion, they are unbeatable.

I live in an area where cold and breezy is much more common than warm, so there's ALWAYS the chance a stray breeze is going to remind you you're not dressed as well as you should be. Well, not with this shirt. I never realized just how often I end up with a chilly blast scooting down the backside of my jeans as I'm out walking the dog, or bending over cleaning up leaf litter... these shirts put that to an END! And, they NEVER come untucked... Yay. Best t-shirts I've ever owned, and I'm convincing all my friends!

I am a computer engineer and in the process of configuring and re-configuring hardware I am up and down and bent over and just contorted in every way to reach cables, connectors, plugs, etc. This is the best shirt I've found - period!
It stretches with your movements to remain comfortable, but does not deform. Don't you hate a shirt that gapes at the neck after an hour or two of strenuous movement? Well this one doesn't do that! And, yes, as advertised it does prevent over exposure of the back door, but even if you are not one of those working fellas that bend over a lot... You will love that it stays tucked in as you sit down and get up from your fancy office chair.
The wrist cuffs are just right - not too tight and not too loose. I just about have to have a pocket on my shirts - no, I don't have a pocket protector, but I do always have to have my corp ID. I also usually have a pen, a small screwdriver, and a small handful of misc nuts and screws. I just love the pocket on these shirts... Well constructed - at least I've never torn or ripped one. It can hold all my necessary pocket junk and not sag and then still looks good after you empty it. No drooping little bag on your shirt front!
These shirts are cut plenty generously so if you are big fella, like me, you can probably go down a size. The cotton material these guys are made of is heavy enough to keep you warm on a brisk day and butter-soft. The color doesn't bleed in the wash and they wear like no other T-Shirt I've ever worn.
These shirts are worth evey penny!
