I used this in Iraq to fix a rapidly leaking hose from a diesel tank. It held the leak at bay for hours until the tank could be drained and the hose replaced. I can say that this tape works exactly as advertised. It stretches to fit, bonds to itself rapidly and resists solvents. Great product, I carry a roll with me wherever I go now.

I have used this for all sorts of things: from temporarily fixing a leaking water line from my water heater to wrapping 480-volt electrical cable until the replacement could be installed! This stuff is great for a variety of uses!

I've already pulled back the tail pipe from a trailer hitch, patched a garden hose, and an air hose with the stuff. It's very versatile - you never know when it will come in handy.

Because it doesn't have adhesive on it. You have you stretch it out on the first wrap around to get the silicone to "bite" into itself.

The roll was rather small for the price payed. But don't let that stop you from having a roll or two around.

This tape did not effectively stick to a rubber hose even after I had sanded the surface of the hose.

I originally bought this stuff for quick, temporary repairs (leaky hoses and the like), but have found it to be excellent for weatherproofing electrical connections exposed to the weather. The the two best things about this tape are 1.) that it is easy to get a flexible yet weatherproof seal over a connection, and 2.) that it leaves no residue when/if you need to remove the tape, unlike the goo left behind by vinyl tape and other sealing products.

It's a unique product. I just used it to waterproof electrical splices on an oxygen sensor, and secured another fuel system part with a broken rubber mount on my '88 VW van. Duct tape gets tangled, leaves residue, and dries out over time, but this stuff threads easily around objects and promises a permanent repair.

This stuff is great -- just wrap anything you want to keep water in or out of -- garden hose, outdoor extension cord connections -- and you're good to go. No adhesive, so when you're done with it just unwrap or cut it off.

A must for any type of traveling, and great for around the house when you don't have the time to go to your local home improvement store. The best thing is when I have friends see me use it and are amazed at the results!!

Had a black water leak in our 5th wheel camper. It was tear out the existing drain or find something to go over the leak and seal it. I noticed the X treme tape in Duluth Trading, ordered it and repaired the leak in about 5 minutes. It has held for three months now and I expect it to continue. An excellent value.

Best tape I have ever used and no sticky adhesive. Tape sticks to itself and last a long time. I use this product for daily repairs around the house and even use it at work as a high temperature electrical insulator.

You should have a roll in every car and 2 at every house. My only complaint is that the roll is only 10 feet of tape.

Like I said, I use it in a pinch to get through until I have time or materials for a permanent fix. However, I know people who use it like its permanent and it works for them.

I had a leaky pipe and used the tape for a temporary fix. It's been 4 months since then and I see no reason to go back and fix it as the tape is doing a great job as a permanent fix. This was the first time I had used the tape. It's great!

We had a small leak in our basement on a old drain pipe from our kitchen. When I had a plumber out for another problem, I asked him about fixing it and his response was that he did not have the right equipment with him and he could come back and with the right equipment and that it would cost me about $150.
In the mail the next day arrived your catalog. I saw the X-Treme tape and decided that it was a lot cheaper than the plumber. (I will be honest with you - I did not think it would work.) It was very easy to apply and low and behold - no more leak. I would recommend it to everyone.

I have a koi pond. Several devices are used to keep water flowing through the filter or thawed in the winter. As with most water implements, leaks are inevitable. I used the x-treme tape to hold together a tube on my pond surface thawing device. I also used it to repair a leaking UV clarifier body. Both fixes still work! It fuses to itself and almost becomes part of the device!

I'd got this for quick-fixes when helping out grandkids' problems . . . and applied it to leaky rental-property plumbing to hold 'till the landlord got around to fixing things; to secure leaky washing-machine connections; and even used it to fix a leak in the tranny-fluid line to the radiator, to "Class IV Engineer" fixes on an ancient car's radiator and heater hoses, and to quick-fix a leaky fuel line! It even bound a hole in the exhaust pipe, preventing a "noise" ticket 'till the car could be properly fixed.
I'd also used it to patch holes in sprinkler lines, fix an irrigation connector, and perminantly couple two short garden hoses.
Durn stuff's better'n duct tape for such repairs; I call it my "Class IV Engineering Tape!"
Oh--and after all of the above jobs, I STILL have 2/3rds of a roll, left!
