When you first see this item, quality comes to mind. This item has been worth the money. The frequent family road trips to Northern Wisconsin tends to load up the car with fast food garbage along the way. This bag keeps those leaky cups, or melting items from ruining your car. No more ruined carpets or seats, this item takes care of that. The item is also washable. My only complaint is that there are limited attaching options. A small price to pay for such a handy item!

I am quite happy with the trash commander. It is a good size, doesn't leak and it can be hung behind a seat, out of the way but still handy. I'm in my car all day on my job and this keeps all trash out of sight and in a convenient container which can be emptied easily. It even has a handy drawstring to close it when needed. Not too big and not too small, it's just right for what I needed!

The Trash Commander is pretty nifty for the price, but in my opinion needs a couple of tweaks to make it perfect. I love the liner and the fact that it folds up, however I would prefer if it had a weighted bottom to keep it from sliding and tipping over. It has 2 little velcro strips on the bottom, but they don't stick at all to the floor of my minivan. However, it can be fastened to the back of the seat as an alternative. I'd still like it better if the bottom was weighted down a bit, or if the velcro had better stick.

I put a small self adhesive hook on the dash and hung the trash commander. Finally my wife is off my back about how messy my truck stays. The flexible and compact design are great. Wish I had more vehicles, I'd get more!

Sealing in the odors with a pull cord makes it difficult to put stuff in the bag. the bag is too small and fills up way before I have to get gas. the loop fits around the headrest but to empty it you have to pull the headrest and put it back. I had another type with a clip which worked better.
It fits about one empty lunch bag and 3 20oz bottles. This needs to be rectangular and bigger and have a clip on attachment. It is waterproof, but that is not enough. Very dissappointing

I knew I would like the style, because I had one similar. This one is a little large for the front of a vehicle. It doesn't fit well between the dash and console. Other than that -- great product.

I finally could replace the plastic grocery bags I was hooking over the armrest in my Honda CRV and hanging in the well of the back seats. This product stays open, is easy to remove, looks good and no leakage. Give it a try!

Since I've returned to the Northeast my girlfriend and I have been catching up on visiting old haunts and creating new scenic memories! Trash became an issue, since we bring along our own food stuffs and drinks. She would use grocery store bags which just don't do the job, not to mention look and smell bad. I remembered seeing the Trash Commander in the DTC Catalogue and bought one for her. Problem solved. Looks and performs just as I anticipated it would...in fact after I finish writing this review I'm ordering one for my Element...Once again, thanks DTC for a great, functional product.

Bought this for my 19 year old son when he purchased his first new car. It looks great, rides out of the way and is a lot easier to manage and keep clean. Keeps the trash and the smell all in one place.

I drive a 26 ft straight truck approximately 1,400 miles a week, and got tired of plastic bags. This item holds it's shape and hangs neatly, but one of the best things is that it is washable! I only wish that it had a larger attachment piece, as I cannot hang it from the passenger seat ,which is a one piece truck seat(no separate head rest).

Large enough to hold a couple of empty soda bottles plus piles of tissues and wrappers that my six year old son generates. Not to big to as to be in the way though. The tough water-proof inner liner prevents liquids from escaping. A good buy.

This is by far the best trash solution for my van that I have tried. I hang it off the passenger seat's arm rest and can easily reach it to fill it and empty it. The heavy duty liner is pliable and seems like it will hold up to any abuse.

This thing is awesome. I did have it hanging from the head rest, but it swung around a lot, so it is stuck on the floor now in the back seat. I didn't even realize that that was what the velcro on the bottom was for until I read other reviews, but if it doesn't stay on the floor like some reviews said I have no problem putting it back on the head rest. I have a brand new car and admit that I'm a slob, so hopefully the trash commander will help keep me from trashing the interior of my new ride.

No more grocery bags for the diapers, wipes, wrappers and all the other baby detritus. This holds a lot, can be tightly shut, washed out and put back in action. Collapses down into a thin, neat ring as well.

I wish that I had seen this product when I was working and on the road daily. It keeps my vehicle from getting messed up. It is easy to use and empty when the time comes. Being water proof, there is no problem with empty drink containers and clean up is a snap with the water proof liner.
I bet it can be filled with ice and used to keep drinks cold while having them within easy reach.

The velcro on the bottom doesn't keep trash commander in place, so it rolls around the floor. The closure on the top keeps the trash contained, it just won't stay in place.

I purchased two - one for my personal truck and one for my work truck. One of the things I liked most is the can remains stationary in my carpeted truck and in my plastic flooring truck due to strategically placed velcro strips. If using in a carpeted vehicle the velcro on the bottom of the can holds it in place. If using in a work truck with plastic flooring the velcro on the side of the can will hold it to the cloth bench seat.
Other things that are nice is the cinch string at the top for when you throw food into it and it is a little warm outside (no smell in the truck) and the leak proof liner.
You can place 3-4 20 oz. pop bottles plus other trash or a box of hot wings and a couple 20 oz. bottles. I usually empty mine once a week.
Though I haven't needed to clean my can yet, I believe you can place in the laundry machine if you have leaks inside the liner.

I love bags and storage containers, any thing to make my like easier. I find with this niffy trash bag, my children throw their garbage away while in the truck instead of leaving it lay all over. It is so easy to clean. Small enough it doesn't take up much room, and it has velcro we can attach it to the back of the seat so it won't fall over. I like it so much I have one for both of our trucks.

I've hung it from the head rest post in my Tracker. When it gets full I empty it. Before I would clean out beneath my seat when nothing else would fit. Now it's easier to find the duct tape.

Mostly in the Truck and on Boat. Just big enough to be a real utility, but small enough to hang in tight places. Occassionally obstucts movement in tight places. One can never have to little waste disposal containers.

I used to use the plastic bags from the grocery store for my trashbags in our vehicles. With these, they hang right from the headrest support, are always at hand, and with the waterproof liner, are perfect for a "no look" drop in the trash from the drivers seat. I added a small carabiner to make it even easier to attach and remove it to empty the bag at the gas station when I fill up. Great product..!!

This solved the problem of never being able to get small trash into the flimsy plastic trash bags I used to use in the cab of my truck. The mouth of the bag was never in the right condition to allow me to put trash in it while driving. This one is always open and ready to accept whatever I need to throw away.

It could be a little smaller, so it doesn't take up so much room. A rectangular shape would probably work better.

the idea of the trash commander is a good one. however, it is really just a trash bag after all. i used to use a plastic grocery bag which didn't look real good but did the trick. and i could toss the bag and all if it got crudded up. it was also a good way to reuse all those plastic bags.
